Citizenship by Investment
Does this service lead to residence, settlement or citizenship?
Citizenship application: Citizenship through a National Transformation Fund contribution or a qualifying approved-project investment.
How does the Grenada citizenship application work?
Choose an authorised international marketing agent working with an authorised local agent. The local agent files the application, IMA conducts due diligence and the mandatory interview. Following ministerial approval, complete the contribution or purchase as instructed. Registration establishes citizenship, after which the agent applies for the passport.
Who can apply, and what documents are needed?
The principal applicant must be at least 18, in good health and able to prove lawful investment funds. Prepare identity and civil records, police and medical certificates, wealth/employment evidence and the official forms. Supporting documents need the prescribed legalisation and English translation.
Which family members can be included?
Eligible family categories include a spouse and financially dependent children, parents, grandparents and siblings. Each dependant must satisfy the programme’s definition and provide relationship and dependency evidence, the family composition changes the contribution and fees.
What are the investment options and additional fees?
NTF contributions start at US$235,000. Certain shared approved tourism investments qualify at US$270,000 plus a US$50,000 government contribution. Family additions, application, processing, due-diligence and interview fees are separate. IMA’s current FAQ and application-guide table show conflicting due-diligence fees, obtain the current written agent quotation before payment.
Must I visit Grenada, and how long does it take?
IMA states that a visit is not required and the due-diligence interview is online. Its FAQ publishes a 60-business-day approval indication conditional on satisfactory checks and receipt of funds, it is not a guaranteed end-to-end timetable. No paid expedited service is offered.
When do I receive citizenship and apply for a passport?
Following approval, complete the instructed contribution or property purchase. IMA issues the certificate of registration after receiving the required payment evidence, the local agent then uses that certificate for the passport application. Grenada permits dual citizenship.
