The Silver category of the federal Malaysia My Second Home long-stay programme.

Renewable long-stay residence

MM2H is renewable long-stay permission, not permanent residence or a citizenship programme. Participants aged 50 and over have different minimum-stay treatment. Property and deposit obligations remain.

Benefits
A renewable 5-year programme period, subject to pass issuance and continuing conditions. This category does not itself authorise a local job.
Eligibility
Applicants aged 25 or over who satisfy the nationality, financial, medical and background conditions, with eligible dependants assessed individually.
Requirements
Fixed deposit of USD 150,000, qualifying property at MYR 600,000 and a participation fee of MYR 1,000. Separate processing and immigration fees apply. Younger participants must meet the 90-day annual stay rule under the category’s household provisions.
