Temporary residence
Apply under the residence agreement for nationals of participating MERCOSUR countries.

Apply for permanent residence
Complete the applicable temporary period and apply for permanent residence within the prescribed window. Permanent admission is a separate decision and starts the court’s nationality residence period.

Paraguayan nationality · 3 years with PR
The Supreme Court requires at least three years of permanent residence from the admission decision, with adulthood, a lawful profession, trade or activity, good conduct and the required supporting evidence.
Naturalisation is a judicial decision. The residence threshold does not guarantee a passport, and a property investment or residence card alone is insufficient.
