YOUR LONG-TERM PATHWAY
Residency to citizenship
- 01
Qualifying residence
Obtain residence on the basis of an eligible MERCOSUR or associated-state nationality.
- 02
Continuous lawful residence
Establish two continuous lawful years immediately before the nationality application, with no departures from Argentina. Permanent residence is a separate option, not a compulsory intermediate stage.
- 03
Argentine citizenship application
Applicants over 18 submit DNI, lawful occupation or means, Argentine criminal-record evidence and the qualifying residence record through the current Migration Directorate naturalisation procedure.
This is a residence-based pathway. Argentina’s investment-citizenship legislation is not presented here as a verified fixed-price open-intake package.
Each stage requires its own qualifying conditions and decision. The years shown are eligibility periods, not approval times.
