Benefits
Time-limited residence to develop the enterprise, with other employment permitted under the route’s conditions. It does not directly lead to settlement.
Eligibility
Age 18 or over, Department for Enterprise endorsement, B2 English and the required personal maintenance funds.
Requirements
Endorsed business proposal, passport, English evidence and normally £945 held for 90 days. The Start-up permission is not extendable, progression to Innovator requires satisfying its separate criteria.

How does this application work?

Secure Department for Enterprise endorsement of the Start-up proposal, then apply with English and maintenance evidence. Develop the endorsed business under the time-limited permission. Before it ends, qualify for a separate route such as Innovator if eligible, Start-up itself cannot be extended.
