Benefits
Time-limited residence to develop the enterprise, with other employment permitted under the route’s conditions. It does not directly lead to settlement.
Eligibility
Age 18 or over, Department for Enterprise endorsement, B2 English and the required personal maintenance funds.
Requirements
Endorsed business proposal, passport, English evidence and normally £945 held for 90 days. The Start-up permission is not extendable, progression to Innovator requires satisfying its separate criteria.

The Isle of Man Start-up route does not itself lead to settlement. An eligible switch to Innovator is needed, Start-up time does not count toward the three-year Innovator settlement period.
