A–D require the relevant land, capital, licences or professional qualifications, E concerns qualifying permanent employment, F requires secure overseas income without working in Cyprus.
Requirements
Use the category-specific MIP2 checklist. From 1 September 2026, new A–F applications also require certified medical screening for hepatitis B/C, HIV, syphilis and tuberculosis, subject to the stated exemption for existing records.

Normally an initial one-year permission, renewable if the conditions remain satisfied, eligible spouse and child categories exist.
Eligibility
Third-country visitors entering lawfully and applying before their visa expires. Economic activity in Cyprus is prohibited.
Requirements
Submit form MVIS8 with the visitor-category supporting documents, certified translations and fees. Register in the Aliens Registry where necessary and provide passport and biometrics, family members need their own supporting evidence.

This route permits the approved visit, study or work activity. It does not itself grant permanent residence or citizenship. A separate eligible settlement route must be secured before planning a nationality application.

An initial year of residence, potentially renewable for two more years, eligible family may accompany without local work rights.
Eligibility
Remote work and stable net income of at least €3,500 monthly, with additional resources for family members.
Requirements
Foreign employment or client contracts, remote-work confirmation, income records and the official residence checklist. Cyprus-based client activity is excluded. Applications have reopened, subject to the scheme’s availability and assessment.

Cyprus Digital Nomad permission is time-limited. Continuing toward long-term residence or nationality requires another qualifying residence basis and actual residence, the nomad permit alone is not an eight-year settlement plan.

Eligible registered companies can use the facilitated procedure for hiring highly skilled third-country staff.
Eligibility
The company must satisfy an eligible ownership or business category, establish a genuine operating presence and meet the applicable investment conditions.
Requirements
Company and shareholder records, business profile, separate business premises and evidence of at least €200,000 qualifying investment where required. Registration does not itself grant staff residence: individual employment and immigration applications remain necessary.

Continue the approved business or employment basis and document actual lawful residence. Long-term-resident status has its own eligibility rules, it is not a prerequisite for the qualifying highly skilled employee nationality route.
