- The export-zone route requires at least US$250,000 of foreign-source investment in an authorised operator or business. Export call centres follow the corresponding framework and need the required operating licence.
- Requirements
- MICI investment certification, bank evidence of foreign funds and the relevant operator or call-centre regulator’s certification. Supply identity, police and health documents, permanent-stage applications require business tax clearance.

Permanent residence
Complete the category’s provisional period and apply for permanent residence. For the usual two-year provisional categories, a fresh application and continued qualifying evidence are required.

Panamanian citizenship · normally 5 years
Ordinary naturalisation requires five consecutive years of qualifying residence. A permanent-resident card, Spanish, basic geography, history and civic knowledge, and the statutory nationality declaration are required. Certain family and reciprocity cases have shorter periods.
Naturalisation is a separate legal application. A residence permit maintained through occasional visits should not be presented as satisfying consecutive residence.
