- Two-year provisional residence, with a subsequent permanent-residence application if the business conditions remain satisfied.
- Eligibility
- At least US$160,000 in fully paid registered shares per applicant, who must hold the required company position. Employ at least five Panamanians per applicant.
- Requirements
- Company registry and shareholder records, accountant certification, foreign-fund transfers, business premises, operating notice, payroll, tax and social-security clearance. Provide passport, police and health records, additional resources are required for dependants.

The Macro-Enterprise route links residence to a substantial, operating Panamanian business.

Permanent residence
Complete the category’s provisional period and apply for permanent residence. For the usual two-year provisional categories, a fresh application and continued qualifying evidence are required.

Panamanian citizenship · normally 5 years
Ordinary naturalisation requires five consecutive years of qualifying residence. A permanent-resident card, Spanish, basic geography, history and civic knowledge, and the statutory nationality declaration are required. Certain family and reciprocity cases have shorter periods.
Naturalisation is a separate legal application. A residence permit maintained through occasional visits should not be presented as satisfying consecutive residence.
