- Eligibility
- At least US$300,000 in the qualifying investment. The deposit option requires an unencumbered three-year deposit with a locally licensed bank, funded from abroad.
- Requirements
- Bank or property certificates proving the investment, passport, police and health certificates, sworn declarations and legal representation. For permanent status, renew the investment evidence and provide the required tax clearance.

Provisional residence

Permanent residence
Complete the category’s provisional period and apply for permanent residence. For the usual two-year provisional categories, a fresh application and continued qualifying evidence are required.

Panamanian citizenship · normally 5 years
Ordinary naturalisation requires five consecutive years of qualifying residence. A permanent-resident card, Spanish, basic geography, history and civic knowledge, and the statutory nationality declaration are required. Certain family and reciprocity cases have shorter periods.
Naturalisation is a separate legal application. A residence permit maintained through occasional visits should not be presented as satisfying consecutive residence.
